Taking my landlord to court
Representing myself at university, winning a rent reduction, and what integrity means.
In 2021 during university, my landlord took me to court after refusing to give me control of the heating. I represented myself and won a rent reduction.
Students unfortunately get taken advantage of too easily, and someone has to push back so the next person doesnโt go through the same thing.
What I love looking back is the Banksy nurse artwork behind me, a reminder of resilience and the hard work people like my Mum carried through the pandemic.
Integrity means taking the hardest path, the one requiring effort, fight, and resilience, and staying true to yourself through all of it.
